you're not wrong. Also, oops, novel tag. I make no apologies for it.

[ He'll accept the help for now, especially since he doesn't have any other means to help him get around. He can never say no to Noctis though, no matter how stubborn Ignis can be. Asking to get up here in the first place had been hard, but Noctis took top priority over his own discomfort.

The fact that he's willing to come comfort Noctis too speaks volumes from Ignis' end of things. They've just had a rough conversation earlier.

We've already lost so much. Too much. Hearing his own words all over again.

You should know that better than anyone. Noctis' own words still stinging in his heart, it's not his friend's fault that he doesn't know. But Ignis had been quick to backpedal to stand beside Noctis, no matter the cost. It was the first time that he'd given himself room to be selfish, a desperate attempt on his part to save his friend yet again, but that backfired. ]

Of course.

[ He'd gotten into his own head too and snaps himself out of it, moving with Noctis to go sit on the bed then listens quietly. ]

You and I both know that your father knew that this was planned from what the Marshall and Cid has told us. [ What else did Regis know? Did he know about Noctis' fate? Is that why he'd been assigned to become Noctis' advisor? He has so many questions about that now after the vision he'd gotten on the altar, questions that he won't get answers too, only with his gut feelings.

Gods, that another thing he's keeping from Noctis, his fate, since he doesn't want to believe in it. He can't accept it, not now, or ever really. But he's not going to dismiss it entirely either, he'll have to find a way to save Noctis, somehow. ]

We both had a stressful couple of days, [ he says quietly ] this goes beyond just you snapping, isn't it?

[ He can't help but wince when Noctis says you, what he'd done was by his own will, no one's fault but his own. For once, he's not sure what to do here, telling Noct what he'd done would ultimately break him and he's not sure what the others have told him either.

Please, forgive me.

That's the last thing he recalls before he blacked out himself, waking up to Prompto's worried voice.

He hadn't realized that he'd been curling his hand into a fist, he uncurls it as he speaks up. ]

What happened to me, it wasn't your fault.

[ Gods, he wish he could see Noctis about now, but he doesn't regret his decision in what he did. ]
